requirements and applicable data protection laws.
1. Information We Collect
To provide and improve our services, we collect varying types of information from our passenger app and
driver-partner app. All data collection is strictly tied to App Functionality, Analytics, and Fraud
Prevention.
Data Linked to You
- Contact Info: Name, phone number, and email address. Collected during account
registration to authenticate you and send ride receipts.
- Identifiers: User ID (assigned by our system) and Device ID. Used to maintain
session security and troubleshoot account issues.
- Precise Location: We collect GPS data to match passengers with the closest drivers,
provide real-time navigation, calculate fares, and ensure safety during active trips. For drivers,
location is collected in the background while "online" to receive ride requests.
- Financial Info: Payment history and wallet balance. (Note: Monsuwi processing
partners like Razorpay handle actual credit card/banking logic securely; we do not store full credit
card numbers).
- User Content: Customer support requests, messages between passenger and driver
(in-app chat), and driver document uploads (driving license, vehicle registration).
Data Not Linked to You
- Usage Data: Screen views, button taps, and general product interaction to help us
understand how the app is used and improve UI/UX.
- Diagnostics: Crash logs and performance data to identify bugs and ensure platform
stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect solely for the following purposes:
- App Functionality: To create and manage your account, track rides, calculate fares,
process payments, and facilitate communication via OTPs and chat.
- Safety & Security: To verify the identity of drivers and passengers, monitor rides
in progress, and prevent fraudulent transactions or policy violations.
- Analytics: To monitor system performance and improve the layout, speed, and
reliability of our apps.
- Communications: To send you system alerts, ride receipts, and customer support
responses.
3. Third-Party Integrations & Data Sharing
Monsuwi integrates with trusted third-party service providers to power our platform. These partners are
strictly bound to protect your data:
- Google Cloud & Firebase: Used for secure database hosting, real-time data syncing,
user authentication, and crash reporting.
- Google Maps Services: Used to render maps, calculate routes, estimate times of
arrival (ETA), and determine trip distances.
- Payment Gateways (e.g., Razorpay): Used to securely process top-ups and trip
payments.
Tracking: Monsuwi does not track you across apps and websites owned by
other companies to deliver targeted advertising. We do not sell or rent your personal data to data
brokers or marketing agencies.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your
data, you can do so directly from the "Profile" section within the Monsuwi app, or by contacting our
support team. Upon an account deletion request, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except
for data required to be kept for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (such as past ride receipts).
5. Device Permissions
The Monsuwi apps request specific device permissions to function correctly:
- Location Services: Essential for determining pickup points and navigating trips.
Passengers can limit this to "While Using the App." Drivers require background access while working.
- Camera/Photo Library: Required only for drivers during onboarding to upload
verification documents, or for users optionally uploading a profile photo.
- Notifications: Used to alert you when a driver is arriving, a trip is accepted, or
an OTP is generated.
6. Children's Privacy
Monsuwi's services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18 without parental consent. We do
not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. If we make
material changes to how we handle your personal information, we will notify you through the app or by
email prior to the change becoming effective.
